The Supreme Court of Italy has affirmed a ruling granting worker’s compensation to a businessman who developed a tumour after using a cell phone for 12 years. This is the first time that a high court in any country has ruled in favour of a link between mobile phone radiation and tumour development.
The Supreme Court had “acknowledged the presence of conflict of interest and thus ‘business bias’ within ICNIRP, IARC and Interphone. Australia recognise and adhere to the high frequency electromagnetic radiation exposure standards set by ICNIRP despite the controversy surrounding the obvious to many, conflict of interest within this organisation who’s EMR / EME exposure standards are referenced and enforced in Australia.
