We will help support you by working with you and / or your architect / designer to create the best possible outcome in terms of a house that will last a long time and support your health and wellbeing. Unfortunately, many houses are built in such a way that they can in fact contribute to ill health (Sick Building Syndrome) and this is often not realised by the occupants. The causes can vary from moisture and mould issues to electromagnetic field exposure and chemicals (formaldehyde and various volatile organic compounds) off-gassing from building materials and finishes.
Ecolibria help to specify much better and healthier alternatives and cable the home in such a way that both power usage and EMF exposure is minimised.

Air Testing and Air Sampling
At ecolibria we specialise in indoor air quality monitoring / air testing. Whether it is specific chemical sampling for industry, office air quality concerns or complex mould contamination issues, we can help. We use only the latest and most advanced metering equipment available. All equipment is calibrated before use and calibration certificates are available on request. As building design and material experts we understand how buildings and air conditioning sytems behave and can therefore provide solutions to any problems discovered during the air quality assessment.
We breathe in about 8,500 litres of air per day and spend an average of 90% of our time indoors. Ensuring good air quality is essential for maintaining an optimum level of wellbeing. This is critical as respiratory illnesses are directly related to toxic air quality environments. Air purification systems can help to ensure good quality indoor air in offices that depend on air conditioning systems to a great degree. Air sampling / testing is very specific and specialised meters, gauges and other equipment are utilised in accordance with your specific needs and requirements.
Mould Inspection and Testing
Ecolibria specialises in Mould testing / Mould inspection. We conduct a business or home inspection focusing on indoor air quality,toxic mould such as black mould and mould removal.
Mould / Mold / Mildew problems are often left unsolved and the mould is simply removed whenever it appears. Removing mould does not get rid of the problem and it will always return unless the source of the problem is discovered and rectified. Specialised equipment is required to measure the amount of moisture in the building material and thereby trace the path and source of the moisture.
Mould sampling can also be conducted. Air and surface samples can be taken and sent to a certified laboratory for analysis. The concentration and types of mould present can then be reported and a remediation plan to clean up all the mould can be developed. This sampling is critical to determine the extent to which mould may have spread to other areas because mould can be present even if it cannot be seen. Toxic mould is often a cause of sick building syndrome.
EMF Testing and Solutions
Electromagnetic Fields (EMF’s) are an integral part of our everyday lives. EMF’s are extremely difficult to shield but they do decrease in strength dramatically as you create distance from the source. It is therefore often a matter of just knowing where the sources are and what the advisable distances from the sources would be. Solutions to EMF exposure will often only involve small changes in living and working habits.

We have had a significant demand for Phone or Zoom consultations as they are scheduled for a specific day and time and you only pay for the time of the consultation as there is no call out or site visit cost. This particular part of Building Biology is more energetic than the other disciplines and involves dowsing to help gain an insight into the relationship you share with the site/land that you inhabit.
