Study Links Mould To Childhood Asthma

While mould is considered an asthma trigger and risk factor for exacerbating asthma, new research links three mould species to childhood development of asthma, according to a study by University of Cincinnati researchers. Black mould is often referred to as almost a category of mould but it is important to know that when black mould is present in a building it almost always consists of a number of different genera that can cause many health effects including asthma, skin conditions and depression. This article takes a closer look at the link between particular common species of mould and childhood asthma.
