Green Cleaning Products for Commercial Buildings

Many councils and commercial buildings are finally looking at ways in which they clean and the cleaning products they use. Ecolibria are now helping to replace the chemical laden coloured liquid soap commonly found in the bathrooms of commercial buildings. Toilet and floor cleaners are being replaced with locally made cleaning products that contain ethically sourced and extracted ingredients.

For the first time in Australia cleaning products for which every ingredient's extraction and processing method has been scrutinised, is available for commercial buildings and will soon be available domestically too.

100% recycled toilet paper made from 100% locally sourced post consumer office waste paper is also being introduced.

Consultations in Brisbane and the Gold Coast

ecolibria will be presenting at the 6th annual Green Buildings Conference in Brisbane on the 1st December 2008.

While in Brisbane and the Gold Coast we will be conducting consultations in electromagnetic field testing, measuring elecromagnetic radiation from phone towers as well as healthy and green building design and material evaluations. What is in the air I breathe everyday?
Did you know that 98,5% of all particles in the air we breathe are so small that we cannot even see them and we breathe around 15,000 - 18,000 litres of air a day. Most viruses and bacteria capable of causing illness and aggravating asthma are so small that a specialised air filter is required to clean the air. On average we spend around 90% of our time indoors and this air is generally up to 6 times more polluted than the outdoor air.

Exposure to paint

Four of five case-control studies found significant increases in childhood leukaemia associated with maternal exposure before or during pregnancy, although findings were inconsistent for lymphatic and haematopoietic cancers in the painters themselves. (WHO December 2007)

A 40 million to 1 dilution is necessary to render 'Water soluble gloss paint' harmless before entering the sewage system - the equivalent of rinsing a paint brush under a tap for a week! (The Greenhouse Trust)
